  This is the absolute worst clinic I have ever been too. The front desk staff are cold and rude. They do not care whatsoever about the patients. They gave my father and I the hardest time when checking in. I drove 2 hours to bring my father to this appointment and we were turned away just because he forgot his ID! Seriously?! I offered to fax in a copy or email it if able to to them, and they still denied us. It isn't even legally required to give them your ID if you don't want too. I will be reporting them to HIPPA.

  The doctor that we have seen here and one of the technician men are excellent. We have confidence in the treatment prescribed and the doctor seems extremely knowledgeable and caring. However, this is the worst office experience we have ever encountered. We thought perhaps our first visit was unusual, but apparently it is standard to wait 3 hours for treatment. The larger waiting room is packed with patients, all who seem to know they will wait forever. Then there is a smaller interior waiting room, where they make people wait yet again. The facility is freezing (they did warn us about that and so we do bring sweaters each visit) and it is filled with elderly people who apparently are accustomed to being treated terribly. In our most recent experience, after eyes were dilated and after pictures were taken, we waited more than 2 hours to see the doctor. That is ridiculous. When we asked if we had been perhaps overlooked, the receptionist (whose attention it was difficult to get) responded with a nasty tone and said "there are a lot of people here, she'll just have to wait". I could see there were a lot of people there, just wasn't sure why we were sitting there for 2 hours. She then said "there are at least 5 people still ahead of you; it will be at least 30 more minutes". It was 90 minutes later that we were called back. I understand the receptionist's attitude if perhaps she answers that same question many times each day, but there is a relatively easy way to fix it - make appointments that make sense to get people in and out in a reasonable amount of time. If there was another doctor who could help us, we would instantly change to him or her. It's disrespectful to keep people waiting so long. Surely they can do better, they just do not care to (and apparently don't have to).

  I've had 2 major surgeries done by Dr Witherspoon. One of the surgeries was an ERM peeling procedure. I have great eye sight in both eyes now. Dr Witherspoon is a great eye surgeon.
